Why Choose A Band Hire For Your Wedding Reception?

By Judith Pugh

One of the items that you will have to add to your already long list of preparations to make, prior to your wedding day, is what type of music you are going to have for the wedding. Depending on the type of wedding you are planning, you will have to decide as to whether a band hire will fit best or if you will utilize a disc jockey to host it. A lot of this planning will be determined initially by the venue you have chosen to house your wedding.

One of the first things you will have to look at is what would the benefit be with having live music versus a dj? The consideration to keep in mind is just how personalized you will want your wedding party to be on that special occasion. And having a live band for hire cannot get any more personal than that, than the ability to have a live person interacting with your guest.

That being said, the appeal stems from the interaction that the live entertainer will have with your guest. You will have someone who can actually draw your guest into their performance and the entertainer can also assist you in hosting other activities that you will probably want to have at your wedding. Such as the garter toss, the bride and groom first dance as a couple. The list could go on.

Now that you have made your decision to go with a live band. Where do you start? The first will probably be by asking some family members and friends you trust to give you a list of their favorite bands. This will help because you will have information from people that you know and who knows you as well as are aware of your style. Another avenue is to research your directory in the area or other venues that might be able to give you a list of performers they have booked at their events. Either way you will want to get a few good references.

Here are some details that you will have to be aware of prior to hiring, is the space that will be needed to house the band while they are performing at your event. During your interview with the band, this is one of the topics that are important to discuss so that you can be sure that you will have the right venue to place the band.

Now the next consideration when looking to hire a live band is to focus on what type of genre of music you are looking to be performed on that day. Perhaps you will want a band that can perform specific styles of music that has been theme for your wedding or perhaps you will desire a band that can host a variety of genres for your day.

So the essential piece is that you will need to have a preview of their performance whether it is by attending one of their live shows or by have a sample of their music given to you to review. The worst thing would be is to hire a band that you have not previously heard just to find out on your wedding day that they do not play what you were expecting.

A good idea to keep in mind when you are searching for that right fit; there are a few entertainment agencies out there that can help you with some of those decisions. Usually these agencies will have a list of bands for hire that they have personally booked on events and most of these agencies will take care of all of the footwork for you when it comes to hiring the band. This will help eliminate another stress factor for you on this already stressful day. - 42265

Beats, Instrumentals, And Tracks - How To Make Them

By Mike Lightner

Lots of people are making big money by selling their beats, samples, track, and CDs. They are doing this sometimes with the help of the internet and sometimes without. If you were look at selling music online, people are paying anywhere from $20 to $2000 for beats, instrumentals, samples, loops, complete tracks, and so on. The big boys in the business like Jay Z and Lil Wayne sell their stuff for millions. However, it not crucial to focus on the money but at how much of a demand there is for new music every day. Millions of people around the world need music and you can supply them with it, in one form or another.

If you want to be a huge famous music in the music industry, or you are just looking to make some money doing music, then this is a good article for you. This article will talk a little about what you need to make your own beats and instrumentals. It will also talk a little about demo CDs, loops, and sounds. There will be a few tips on making money and how much money equipment will cost. With that being said, here is the info...

To do this, you will need a few things. First you will need recording studio software. Recording studio software is nothing more than a program that allows you to mix beats, melodies, chords, samples and loops to make your own customized instrumentals and tracks. They also allow you to record yourself as you sing or rap to your track and to make a copy of your tracks to cd.

As far as your software goes, you can find many different types of recording software all over the Internet. Just do a search for "make your own beats" or "recording studio software". As you search, you will notice that on average, this type of software will run you between $50 and $200. Don't buy these products (you'll see why shortly)! Now you're going to need beats, melodies, chords, samples, and loops to customize with your recording studio software, aka: sound sets and loop sets. Again, just do a search for "beats" or "loops". There are going to be so many options that it seems endless, however just take you time and look for quality products... do not buy the cheap ones.

Alright, so at the minimum, $140 gets you the low-end recording studio software, 200 sound sets, and 300 loop sets... If you want a little better quality studio software and more sound sets and loop sets, you can spend about $500 for high-end studio software, 600 sound sets, and 900 loop sets. That's everything you need to make your own beats, instrumentals, samples, loops, tracks, and complete demo cd's. Remember, do you want to be using low quality sounds and make low quality music, or do you want to use the best sounds possible and make crystal clear tracks? - 42265

Is It Necessary To Hire A Piano Tuner?

By Andrew Ward

A piano tuner is a person who should be entrusted with the task of making very small adjustments to the tension levels in the strings of a piano and which are an important part of every piano. With the help of these adjustments, the strings will be properly aligned at set intervals and this will ensure that the piano will sounds like it is in tune, which it obviously will be after it has been properly tuned.

Remember, that tuning a piano means more than simply obtaining specific pitch sets. Only a qualified piano tuner will be able to assess the interaction between various notes which in the case of each piano happens to be something that is unique to a particular piano.

A piano tuner must be called in to perform regular tuning which will ensure that both the tone and pitch are right and it will also make the piano respond properly to the touch. A tuner is a person that will also do the required adjustments of the tuning pins so that each and every piano string is kept at perfect tension without which the piano just will not sound right.

A piano that is not in tune will sound really bad and this in turn will make playing the piano a real headache. An out of tune piano will not feel and sound right and the keys, when depressed, will not provide the desired response. All this can discourage you from ever wanting to play the piano.

Piano manufacturers therefore recommend that the piano be tuned at least 2 or 4 times in a given year. Doing this helps to ensure that the piano will sound the way that it should and the keys will also be more responsive when the piano players fingers run over them. A new piano must always be tuned at recommended intervals.

In the first year of its use, this kind of musical instrument will be a bit unstable because there will be changes to the elasticity of the wires of the piano which combined with natural changes (on account of humidity) will make the piano sound out of tune.

If you fail to tune the piano at the recommended intervals, it will cause the piano to sound hopelessly out of tune. To prevent this from happening, you will do well to hire the services of a professional piano tuner who is knowledgeable and also an expert in doing the necessary tuning work.

Finally, be sure to keep in mind the fact that tuning a piano requires some very deft handling and this is normally only possible if the tuner is a qualified piano technician with experience and knowledge of how to tune this particular kind of musical instrument. - 42265

2PM's "I'll Be Back" Comeback To The Kpop World

By Simon Stawski

Last year, 2PM had quite possibly one of the biggest songs in the kpop world with their smash hit, "Heartbeat." Since then, they released "Without U" in early Spring, which had a good reception, and just made their comeback last week with their newest song "I'll Be Back." Unfortunately, the song has disappointed many for some of the following reasons:

1) The Terminator: for some odd reason, 2PM have claimed that this song was inspired by the Terminator. That's understandable, because the Terminator is an awesome movie. What's bizarre, though, is that the song has nothing to do with Terminator. The song is about love for a woman. How does Arnold protecting John Connor from the T2000 have anything to do with this? Sure, the chorus of this song is "I'll Be Back" and one of the members has a metal hand in the video, and the end of the video uses the Terminator theme song, but that's about it. The similarities between the two end there.

2) The Dance: what's very bizarre about this video is that the dance is awful. Absolutely awful. 2PM are some of the best dancers in all of Korea, yet the dance to this song is the running man. Sure, it's a little more complicated than just the running man: they change directions, and do the running man again. Wow! There's also a very bizarre sequence near the end of the video in which they start mule kicking and doing the running man at the same time. It's completely bizarre, and quite possibly the worst Kpop dance of the year.

3) The Makeup: this is quite possibly the most noteworthy part of the video. The members of 2PM are entirely covered in makeup, almost to an unrecognizable degree. We're not talking about a bit of eye-liner here. They've got more makeup on than the entire cast of Jersey Shore. A lot of fans are quite happy about this, because it's a really new look and it brings out their eyes, but others will note how ridiculous they look, unfortunately.

Altogether, 2PM's return to the Kpop world is a bit lacklustre with their newest song "I'll Be Back." The video was a great disappointment, and didn't do justice to the song. Hopefully they will release another song and video soon that will bring them back to the level they were at with their other huge hits. "I'll Be Back" just isn't it this time around. - 42265
