Music Successes Who Should Thrive This Year

By Jerry Matthews

What an interesting last year or two it's been. Names that we had never heard of before are suddenly some of the biggest names in the music world.

These household mega stars have paved the way toward greatness, and it should be interesting to see if they can maintain just as big a presence in the future.

Who are the biggest names in the pop music world entering the new year? Well, let's have a look at a few of them here.

First, there's the Jonas Brothers. It seems like every teenage girl is obsessed with these heartthrobs, as their clean cut image and catchy pop music has inspired a massive legion of fans. The brothers will continue to churn out hits as their popularity remains high.

Another huge name in 2009 was Lady Gaga, and there's no reason to believe that she won't be just as big in 2010. She definitely seems to be a future legend in the making.

Many are comparing her to Madonna, and she welcomes the comparison. Her aspirations are high and it seems that this pop star is here to stay.

There's also Taylor Swift. With a twinge of country inflected into her pop music, her songs are reminiscent of that 90s pop that dominated the airwaves for so long, and that may be what makes her so successful. Her good looks and charming personality never hurt either.

There's one more pop figure I'd like to mention, and this one is just months old as far as recognition goes. No one knew who Adam Lambert was a year ago, but he's now a household name thanks to American Idol.

Anyway, Adam Lambert is a very big deal these days, and rightly so. He's a great performer with a great voice, and his debut album will surely churn out a number of enjoyable hits.
