I am sure that there are many people who wait for the joys of having holidays. While you are savoring your holidays ever wondered what brought them into our lives? Do other countries commemorate these holidays on the exact same day as you and I, and in the exact same method? The response would be yes, and no. You will find some "world holidays", where everyone celebrates the exact same holiday at the exact same time, and there are some holidays which are only for a particular nation, or place alone, and aren't commemorated the world over.

A few of these world holidays are New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, April Fool's, and Christmas. These are the more well known of the world holidays. You will find other holidays too that are even today gaining recognition as becoming world holidays. For Muslims across the planet Ramazan and the Haj Festival are world holidays. For the Chinese, there is the Chinese New Year with fantasy parades, fireworks, and symbols of wealth and fortune hanging from every place. And with so many Chinese people spread out throughout the world they would consider this one of the world holidays. And the same goes for the numerous Indians living across the planet as well. They'd definitely recognize Diwali as being one of the world holidays.

What about Halloween? Certainly this fun filled, scary day with its assortment of costumed persons would be a world holiday. You'd only be half right on that however, as Halloween still has to take off in many countries although it has now disperse across the ocean and has taken hold in England. After all what youngster doesn't like dressing up in fun outfits and collecting masses and masses of candy?

Besides these holidays you will find such world holidays as Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Valentines Day. Each one of these is now a part of numerous nationalities and spans the globe making them truly world holidays. Then you will find the spiritual world holidays like Easter which are celebrated in quite a few places despite its spiritual overtones. Lots of individuals nowadays associate Easter with the Easter Rabbit and it is vibrant colored eggs. There's also the fact that families and friends get together to have some fun while the children play games and hunt for chocolates and chocolate eggs.

As you see world holidays are commemorated the around the world. Sometimes everyone in the world remembers them, occasionally only some people in various areas of the globe celebrates them. World holidays can be found in all sizes and shapes and are loved by everyone, especially the school kids who get a free day off!
